Soumya Sukumaran Indian Classical dancer from kerala

Soumya Sukumaran is a passionate and devoted Mohiniyattam dancer from Kerala, with over 20 years of experience in Indian classical dance. graded Doordarshan artist, she holds an MFA in Bharatanatyam from Annamalai University, a Diploma in Mohiniyattam from Prachin Kala Kendra, and formal training in Kerala Natanam from Guru Gopinath Nadana Gramam.

Soumya Sukumaran received 5 years of intensive training in Mohiniyattam under Kalamandalam Sri.kavitha Krishnakumar, 3 years in Bharatanatyam under Shri.Sudharshana Kumar (Kalakshetra), and 5 years in Kathakali under Kalamandalam Athul and Bijulal (Kalarangam).

Soumya has performed in over 100 stage shows across India and is known for her emotionally rich performances and commitment to cultural storytelling—most notably through her acclaimed production “Panchami”, based on the life of Ayyankali.
